Vicenza, Padua and the regional park of the Euganei Hills aboard a vintage car

It is an itinerary that develops mainly in the Vicenza and Padua area, going to touch all that are the beauties of Veneto, gastronomy, nature and art.
The tour starts along the open country roads and crosses important villages like Cologna Veneta, famous internationally for almond processing and production.
We continue to the beautiful town of Vicenza, where you can admire stunning monuments, among which the Palladian Basilica, rebuilt since 1549 by Andrea Palladio, is the most famous public building. Also in Vicenza, you can admire the shrine of Monte Berico, the Olympic Theater and Palazzo Chiericati.
The tour continues, following Padua, a city of great artistic and cultural traditions, which boasts over 3,000 years of history, which have left the city a monument of great historical and artistic value.
Many of the monuments to visit include the cathedral of Santo Padovano, the beautiful square of Prato della Valle, the Scrovegni chapel and the Bo Palace.
We enter the park of the Euganean hills and recommend the visit of the beautiful Villa of the Bishops, the property of the FAI, which was built between 1535 and 1542 on an embankment of the Euganean Hills by the curia of Padua, to offer the bishop a sumptuous summer holiday home. In the post-war period, Villa dei Vescovi became Villa San Domenico Savio, the home of spiritual exercises for young people.
In 2005 Maria Teresa Olcese Valoti, Vittorio's second wife, and their son Pierpaolo decided to donate Villa dei Vescovi to the FAI.
Visit the beautiful Catajo Castle, a monumental building full of history, charm and legends built from the 16th century by Pius Enea I of the Obizzi at Battaglia Terme (PD); The Catajo is a unique home of its kind that over time was a princely villa and military accommodation.
We continue entering the Euganean Regional Park to visit Arquà Petrarca village perched at the heights of the Euganean hills, then move to the beautiful Valsansibio Gardens.
The garden of Valsanzibio is an extraordinary example of symbolic garden, of a large water garden in full efficiency and today it presents itself as one of the largest and most complete gardens of world time, which was awarded the first prize as "The most beautiful Garden of Italy "in 2003 and the third most beautiful in Europe in 2007.
Transfer to Monselice, a charming town with magnificent medieval walls.
The medieval fortress - Mastio Federiciano - dominates the plain and the inhabited area from the top of the hill. The high walls and the vast castle, with its rich collection of weapons and armor, recall the strategic importance of this town in medieval times.
Continue direction Este, one of the most interesting Venetian towns.
The city extends around the top of the Euganean hills, and has ancient origins: already exist in the Paleolithic Age, then became one of the most important and significant centers of Paleo-Venetian civilization, whose testimonies are exhibited in the Atestino National Museum. The museum contains an exceptional archaeological collection originally founded to prevent the archaeological treasures of the city from being inherited from the Estensi, later improved by new discoveries with the progress of excavations.
The tour continues along Montagnana, one of the cities that best preserve the medieval walls and the main monuments.
