Soave & Colli Lessini aboard a vintage car
Time requested: 1 day
An itinerary that touches the most beautiful wine-producing areas of Verona, a perfect blend of gastronomy and nature.
We start the tour from the Slow Drive office in Verona with the visit of the wonderful Bevilacqua Castle.
The tour continues along the open country roads and crosses important villages like Cologna Veneta, famous internationally for almond processing and production.
We continue to Soave, a beautiful medieval town well known for the Mondial produce of the most famous Veronese white wine, Soave.
Here you will find many wineries and wine bars where you can enjoy a tasting of wine and local products.
We continue to the beautiful Vall D'illasi enjoying all the sights that the Colli della Lessinia can offer.
The itinerary continues in the direction of Verona, where we recommend a lunch stop by choosing from many typical restaurants and a nice walk to the center without forgetting to visit the main monuments of the city such as the Arena di Verona, the house of Romeo and Juliet, the Castelvecchio Museum and the beautiful and distinctive Piazza delle Erbe.
Departure direction Borghetto, is one of the most beautiful villages of Italy, where you can find the famous Valeggio tortellini (strictly handmade, can be bought in numerous pasta factory of Valeggio and Borghetto). Here the tortellino is called "knot of love" because it remembers the knot of a silk handkerchief braided by two lovers before throwing it into the Mincio.
We immerse ourselves in the beautiful Mincio Park and in the beautiful Mantua where you can visit the Ducal Palace, Tea House and St. Andrea's Basilica.
At Mantua, we will take the road for the return to our office to Bevilacqua.
